What it does
MyGECCO gives community theatre groups a simple way to see how their shows at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC) are selling. It tracks real-time ticket sales, session fill rates, and pricing tier breakdowns across every event.
Who it helps
The GECC is the heart of Gladstone's performing arts scene. Groups like Gladstone Performing Arts Company, Picket Fence Theatre Company, and other local performing arts groups stage everything from musicals to drama productions there. MyGECCO gives these groups their own window into how ticket sales are tracking for their shows.
A show committee can check sales at a glance, see which sessions are filling up, and make decisions about marketing pushes based on actual numbers.
How it works
MyGECCO collects publicly available ticketing information from the GECC's website and presents it through a clean, mobile-friendly dashboard. The app is built with Next.js and React, the same stack we use for commercial client work. It's fast, reliable, and designed to be used on a phone between rehearsals.
Why we built it
Community theatre runs on volunteers. The people organising shows are doing it around full-time jobs, family, and everything else. Anything that saves them time and gives them better information is worth building. MyGECCO was built as a free tool for the local arts community because this is the kind of work we care about.
Built by
MyGECCO was designed and built by Asher Roby at Gladstone Digital. If you're a local business or organisation with a data problem that could use a similar solution, get in touch.
